806 K-9s will host an event in Brownfield next Saturday titled “May the 4th be with you.” The Star Wars-themed event is a vaccination clinic and lemonade stand at the Lynn Brisendine Community Plaza, which is on the corner of Main St and 6th St. The event lasts from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Woodard capped his sophomore season with two races at the Region I-1A Track and Field Champ ionships on Friday and Saturday at South Plains College in Levelland.
The season has ended for the Brownfield Cubs and Lady Cubs track teams. The finale came on Friday at the Region I-3A Track and Field Championships at Abilene Christian University. Quavience Busby finished ninth in the triple jump with a leap of 42 feet, 8.75 inches.
The Brownfield softball team is still waiting to find out its opponent for the bidistrict playoffs. Brownfield, the fourth-place team from District 3-3A, is waiting for the outcome of a seeding game between Alpine and Presidio, with the Lady Cubs facing the winner.
